We wanted to eat somewhere special in Philadelphia and we were lucky to find this incredible tavern. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The drinks were great! Everyone was really nice especially Shana our bartender! This will be our go-to place whenever we're in Philadelphia! Thanks!

Charming bar that everyone loves. The Christmas decorations were so cute and beautiful. The oldest bar with the best service. The fish and chips were so good. I had an egg nog martini that was amazing. You need to visit here, if for nothing else the charm and atmosphere.

The oldest continuously operating pub in Philadelphia. A lively atmosphere awaits all who enter, regardless what time of day. Great menu prices and service. It is a busy place! A must if you are in the city!

My husband and I came here yesterday for lunch before going over to Christmas Village (he has been before but this was my first time). From walking in to leaving, the staff was PHENOMENAL. The atmosphere was incredible and the food was DELICIOUS. Our server, Hannah, was such a sweetheart and really took care of us. I found a little piece of metal in my chili and my husband let management know. The manager (I did not get her name. Shorter lady with dark hair) came over and talked to us and apologized to us for that happening. We wanted to just let them know, and not get anything out of it, but they went above and beyond and took care of it. They comped our drinks and our 2 chilis, which was so sweet but totally unnecessary. We will absolutely be back and hope to have Hannah as our server again.

We had a nice time at McGillins. The staff was friendly and didn’t have any issues. We popped in on a Sunday afternoon for drinks. My wife got a cocktail she really enjoyed. I did the beer sampler. The value was great I think $11 or so for the sampler with you get to choose a few of those. I’m not a huge beer guy in general and didn’t love any of the beers but enjoyed the experience. Think they could’ve been a little colder. We did get a koozie for our collection and the vibes were great inside. Definitely worth checking out.

McGillin’s Olde Ale House is the oldest restaurant/bar/pub in the city. I stopped by on Thursday mid-afternoon and it was packed. I had a great fish & chips with a side of sweet slaw. It’s sort of down a side street/alleyway so it can be hard to find because it’s not on a city street. It’s a great Philadelphia experience not to be missed!

Fabulous uplifting atmosphere and I highly recommend the holiday Margarita with green sugar rim. Go upstairs! Equally fun vibe and easier to have a conversation. We'll be back.

Great relaxed environment. Feels like a local neighborhood bar on the middle of the city. Best happy hour and great value as an event space for retirement or birthday parties etc. Service is great. Staff is friendly and fun. Drinks well made with tasty food. The price is also right! Very good compared to the other city bars & restaurants.
